Yes,
that's right - not only do you get this very exciting, nostalgic, and hip
old candy dish, you get a free serving of irony! It comes right in the dish
- filled up level to the top with one of those weird flat spatula things
you only get to use in home-ec class for packing butter in measuring cups.
Sorry, no refund if
you don't get the irony with the dish. I am not going to come to your house
and show you the irony - you have to find it yourself!
The mirrored surface of this dish does a fantastic job of reflecting both the uncertain depression of our times and my camera (look closely at the last photo)!
The surface of this
dish is composed of several layers, not entirely unlike the text of this
description. The top layer is clear and the bottom is metallic/mirrored.
This produces a beautiful translucent feel which sets off the irony (see
above) nicely!
Not since the late 1950s when this dish was probably manufactured have people spoken so glowingly of the angst of our times.
The smooth, unchipped, and uncracked surface of this fine dish provides no faults to focus on other than your reflection! andale andalesell |
