- 11/20 sent outline to Mac DevCenter, waiting to hear back if they want me to write article
- 11/29 sent a ping to Mac DevCenter asking if they had made a decision
- 12/1/04 - Editor has approved article, now I need to write it.

- article idea: insane .mailcap hacks
- canonical: use aalib to convert pictures into text on the terminal
- expand this to larger idea of turning arbitrary data into text and the advantages of doing that. Write about all my mailcap hacks and use this image to text one as the supreme example.
- Gave rough outline to Linux DevCenter on 11/20. Editor replied he liked idea and wanted an outline.
