I'm currently employed by a software company in New York City, which keeps me extremely busy.
But as always, you can drop me a line (spam filtered) if you have something interesting for a Linux sysadmin/developer.
I graduated from The University of Montana in 1996 with a BSCS (and a minor in English Literature). After a number of years working in and around Silicon Valley, I moved to New York City to continue working as a Senior System Administrator. Some of the places I've worked include:
- Schrodinger - Senior System Administrator
- Telemetry Investments - Senior Linux System Administrator
- HP - Software Engineer and System Administrator
- Lutris Technologies - Java Software Developer
- Veridicom - Network Operations, Software Developer
- Santa Cruz Operation - Software Engineer
I have a lot of experience designing and installing Linux-based networks and working with Unix systems in general. Plus, I've done a substantial amount of work in test scripting and build automation.
Incidentally, I wrote a minor freeware Linux kernel development aid call2sym. I've also contributed to free software projects like a2ps, mutt, and SCO skunkware.
Linux has been running on my desktop systems since version .99.1.
Communication skills are important. Here's a WhitePaper I wrote a couple of years ago.
Or, take a look at some articles I've written for various publications.
