After cruising through most of Idaho and Wyoming on back roads like US 20, we were reunited with the interstate highway system for the trip through South Dakota,Michigan, and Chicago.

Which brings us to Wall Drug, South Dakota. What more is there to say, other than it's the roadside abomination that served as the model (nay, inspiration) for all tourist traps to follow.

Plus, their coffee and donuts are cheap and delicious. I think it's a dollar total for both.

I'll think about that next time I'm sipping my $3.78 latte at Starbucks in Manhattan.
