A few pictures of the cars in action. First, the #2 Audi R8 in the P900 class comes up behind one of the Panoz cars, also in the P900 class. This is the on the last straightaway up the hill before the corkscrew.
Next, a Porsche 911 in the GT class on the same stretch:
As an aside, it is really difficult to take clear pictures of these cars on the track with a point-and-shoot 35mm camera. The acceleration of the cars is just tremendous - they were hitting 175 mph. on these straight stretches. The sound was deafening, too. It was painful to stand next to the track.
