Anybody out there as young as I am may not have ever seen mag tapes in actual use, other than as the standard 'computer cliche' in 70s movies.
I swiped this tape from a discard pile as a historical memento.
Now if you read the label below and work out the math:
1600 bytes per inch 2400 feet of tape
the capacity of this tape is about 44 megabytes.
